This is some tremendous analyses as far as I am concerned!

JDee:"What the fuck did 'Rappers Delight' mean?"

*sigh* JDee, *obviously* rappers delight is about the socio-economic juxtaposition that inveitably exists between the rulling class (up), the middle class (jump) and the working classes (the boogy) - so when the sugarhill gang told us to "up jump the boogy to the bang bang boogy" they are speaking of violent revolution. ;-)

In fairness, this debate is done and done: everyone prefers the music that was out when they were 17, and that's that: I prefer old skool myself but that's because I'm an old cunt. I used to feel old skool had more substance but in fact... nah, I just like it more and it reminds me of when *I* had more content.
